AboutRole: Product design and development

ClipCue connects paper coupons to a grocery trip. Photograph a whole sheet, check the offers it finds, and plan the shop. ClipCue then highlights which coupons to cut out on the original paper, tells you where you filed it, and reads the receipt afterwards to confirm what went through.

From the drawer to the checkout

Most coupon apps stop at a clever scan. ClipCue follows the whole trip: capture, review, plan, bring, shop and check the receipt. Each offer shows why it fits the list or why it does not, whether that is the date, store, brand, size or quantity. Savings are only counted once the store has accepted the coupon. A receipt check also shows the coupons you already had and could have used.

Private by default

Text recognition and matching run on the phone, with no account, server or paid service behind them. Optional AI help comes from Apple Intelligence on the device or Apple's Private Cloud Compute. Every extracted detail is reviewed before it is saved, and amounts, quantities and dates never come from a model.

Built for the household

A household of up to six people can share one library. One person plans on iPad with the list beside the original sheet, and another shops with an iPhone. Trips export to Reminders, and widgets, Shortcuts and arrival reminders keep the next trip close.

ClipCue is a working prototype in testing ahead of a public beta. Screens show sample data.
