AboutRole: Game design and development

Dodgeball, Laser Tag and Tracer in nightclubs whose rooms do not fit together. Build a little robot, boost through a doorway that should not exist, and land a shot that came from nowhere. Play against bots, in four-player split screen, or with Steam friends.

Sport in rooms that do not fit together

Every court is a nightclub with an impossible trick in it. A shed holds a forty-metre shaft. A glass box is longer inside than out. A landing door opens onto the foot of its own stairs. A cube has six floors and a weightless middle. Learning the geometry is as much of the game as aim and timing.

What is built

Three sports across sixteen courts, a nine-court quick-play rotation, power-up pads, a court editor, a final whistle and podium, and a 26-song catalog. Desktop packaging for Windows, macOS and Linux shares keyboard, controller and touch input paths. Captures on this page are from builds 0.53.4 and 0.54.
